If you want to buy the best commentaries on certain books in the Bible and do not know which one, the following annotated bibliography from the folks at Denver Seminary is very helpful and comprehensive (at least for me). And the list is always updated when the new edition of the Denver Journal is published. Here is the latest list from the latest edition:
