Ngomong2, mengenai pendapat D.A. Carson tentang 5 Church Trends, saya bingung pada point yang ke-3 setelah membaca detilnya.
Apakah inti pendapat Carson berbicara tentang harus adanya keseimbangan antara the "latest issue" dan "past issue" dalam gereja?
Sepertinya paragraf 1 dan 3 saling kontradiktif. Bisa minta pendapat Pak Sen?

Halo Pak Christian, memang scribbles yg dibuat itu tidak lengkap, hanya outline dari sophisticated points yg memang trademark dari Carson.
Tapi kalau saya duga, maksud Carson adalah kita mesti lebih aware dengan current issues yg melanda banyak orang, dan tidak menghabiskan tenaga, waktu, dan pikiran ke issues zaman dahulu. Bagi saya, misalnya isu hari ini adalah bagaimana mengkomunikasikan kebenaran Injil yg absolut ke anak-anak muda usia 18-25 yg sangat postmodern & tidak suka segala yg mutlak, sementara berada ditengah konteks budaya Kristen yg sangat konsumeristik dan pragmatis.
